MEETING MINUTES

Minutes from meeting on July 19, 2006 were reviewed. Bob Borg noted a small correction indicating that the fence as proposed by the Moats would be on the property line outside of the conservancy area. Not off the property as reflected in the minutes.    Lee Bassett moved to approve the minutes as corrected and Warren Schmidt seconded.  On a voice vote; all aye.

APPLICATIONS

There were no new or old applications on the agenda. Planner Hogue had received a new

application on the afternoon of the August 2nd.  He explained the request and distributed the application to the CSCC members for consideration at their next meeting. Warren and Lee have primary and secondary assignments.

OTHER BUSINESS;    Briarcrest Conservancy Area;

Chairman Smith indicated that there may be violations of both public & private conservancy area within the Briarcrest Subdivision.

A Briarcrest; homeowner, reported that conservancy areas are being mowed and conservancy posts and signs have been removed in the subdivision. The CSCC agreed that this complaint should be addressed. Planner Hogue noted that the best way to address this complaint is to handle it as any other enforcement issue. He will do some field work and document the alleged violations and proceed with the ordinance violation process.

Damaged or displaced conservancy signs are the responsibility of the homeowner/property owner. It was suggested that education of the residents as to the nature and responsibilities of conservancy areas be undertaken such as a bridge article or letters to all residents of the Village.  HOA’s and their presidents may also be a valuable tool in conservancy compliance and maintenance of conservancy district signs.

ADJOURNMENT OF MEETING

Warren Schmidt moved to adjourn.  Seconded by Bob Borg.  All voted aye. Meeting adjourned 8:35 pm

RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED
