MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

CALL TO ORDER;    Meeting called to order at 7:42 p.m.

 

Members present: Kelley Smith chairman, Lee Bassett, Bob  Borg, Ellen Deasy, Warren Schmitt,  Members absent;  Kathy Wiberg   Also present: Jim Hogue, Village Planner

 

MEETING MINUTES

Minutes from meeting on August 2, 2006 were reviewed. Bob Borg moved to approve the minutes as presented and Warren Schmidt seconded.  On a voice vote; all aye.                                                                                                      

 

APPLICATIONS

 

CSC 06-09 Consideration of a Request by Stuart Dessner & Bailey Jacobson to add plantings (trees) to a scenic corridor on property known as Parcel “A” (immediately south of Lots 24 & 25) in the Merit Estates/ Promontory Pointe Subdivision, Routes 22 & 83; Submitted by Stuart Dessner.

 

Warren Schmidt report that he and Lee Bassett had been to the site and met with the petitioners. He noted the site is on Route 22 east of Route 83.  The property is platted as an outlot and is not owned by the petitioners and contains a detention pond. 

 

The survey team recommends approval of this request. Motion made by Warren Schmidt, seconded by Lee Bassett to recommend approval of a Request by Stuart Dessner & Bailey Jacobson to add plantings (trees) to a scenic corridor on property known as Parcel “A” (immediately south of Lots 24 & 25) in the Merit Estates/ Promontory Pointe Subdivision, Routes 22 & 83; Submitted by Stuart Dessner subject to written approval by the HOA/developer on this proposal. On a voice vote; all aye.

 

Staff will contact the HOA/Developer.  

                          

OTHER BUSINESS;    Briarcrest Conservancy Area Violations; Update

 

Planner Hogue indicated that there is office work and field work to do regarding the alleged conservancy violations in Briarcrest. He noted there may or may not be violations depending on the restrictions as noted on the plat of subdivision. These restrictions need to be reviewed in light of the alleged violations. Fieldwork which documents the violations also needs to occur. The standard enforcement procedure will be followed where violations are documented. He will keep the CSCC apprised on the issue.
