APPLICATIONS

01-07  East Gate Estates, Property located at 5168 RFD, on Aptakisic Rd.

Warren Smith and Greg Summers reviewed the application with the Committee and answered our questions.  The Committee recommends the Village Board and the Plan Commission require:

            1. Use of appropriate native seed mix on the berm and all Conservancy and Scenic Corridor areas. Different mixes should be used for wet areas and berm areas.

            2.  A three-year maintenance agreement should be required to assure the successful germination and growth of the seed mixes.

            3.  Temporary / annual ground cover mix should be used in these areas.

            4.  Kathy Wiberg will review the seed mixes listed on pg. 6 of the submitted plans.                                                  .

OTHER BUSINESS

The Committee reviewed the changes we asked Jim Hogue to make to the approval letter sent to applicants by the Village Board. The letter now requests that the applicant inform their primary contact on the CSC Committee when the project has been completed.

The Committee reviewed a newspaper article about a new “asphalt” that has a water permeable surface.
