CONSERVANCY/SCENIC CORRIDOR EASEMENT COMMITTEE

 

MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

VILLAGE HALL

MARCH 21, 2007

 

CALL TO ORDER

Meeting called to order at 7:38 p.m.

Members present: Kelley Smith, chairman, Lee Bassett, Bob Borg,

 Ellen Deasy, Warren Schmitt, Kathy Wiberg        

Also present: Jim Hogue, Village Planner, Warren Smith, and Greg Summers

MEETING MINUTES

            Minutes from meeting on March 7, 2007 were reviewed.  Lee Bassett moved to approve; Warren Schmitt seconded.  All members voted to approve. Motion carried.                                                                                                      

 

APPLICATIONS    

            01-07   East Gate Estates  - 5168 R.F.D. This application is a request to reduce the buffer yard from the required 20 feet to 10 feet.  This would apply to the conservancy areas on lots 1, 8, and 9.The building pad has been moved back on the lots.  After much discussion, Lee Bassett moved to recommend Village Board approval with the following conditions: 1 NO equipment is permitted in the Conservancy areas.

                  2. Chainlink fence will be erected where buffer areas are less than 10’.

Ellen Deasy seconded the motion.  There were 5 yes votes; 1 no vote; motion carried.

           

OTHER BUSINESS 

            The Committee was not aware that changes to a PUD plat cannot be made after the preliminary approval is given.  We are included in the final plat process.  Warren Schmitt moved to request that the Conservancy/Scenic Corridor Committee be included in the preliminary review process.  Bob Borg seconded the motion.  All committee members voted yes to this motion.

 

            The Committee discussed the outline Ellen Deasy put together of topics and information we would like to see included in a Conservancy/Scenic Corridor packet.

Our discussion will continue at our next meeting.

            Warren Schmitt   Bob Borg moved to adjourn.  Seconded by Warren Schmitt .  All voted aye. Meeting adjourned 9:25 pm
