MINUTES OF REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

VILLAGE HALL

JUNE 20, 2007

CALL TO ORDER

Meeting called to order at 7:32 p.m.

Members present: Kelley Smith, chairman, Lee Bassett,  Bob Borg, Warren Schmitt, Kathy Wiberg 

Not present:  Ellen Deasy  

Also present: Jim Hogue, Village Planner

 

MEETING MINUTES

           

            Minutes from meeting on June 6, 2007 were reviewed.  Bob Borg moved to approve;  Warren Schmitt seconded.  All members voted to approve. Motion carried.

 

APPLICATIONS      No open applications 

           

OTHER BUSINESS 

            Gerald Para,  5565  RFD,  Estates of Oak Hills brought to the attention of the Committee that IDOT may have cut trees from the Lot #3 in the Estates of Oak Hills.  Bob Block and Jim Hogue inspected the property. No trees have been cut in the conservancy area.

 

            Barbara Turner 3853 RFD, inquired at our last meeting if the berm along the parking lot on Robert Parker Coffin Road is a scenic corridor or a conservancy.   Barbara represented a committee working to improve the landscaping is the downtown Village area.   Jim has pulled the plat of survey for this property, and he has informed Barbara that there is no conservancy or scenic corridor.        

 

            Tony Gordon,  5547 RFD, Estates of Oak Hills. Jim has give the engineering plans for this berm to the Village engineer to check and see that plans have been implemented as designed.

 

            Kelley reported that Briarcrest is no longer mowing their open space conservancy areas.
