THE PLAN COMMISSION MEETING SHALL BE HELD AT THE COUNTRY MEADOWS SCHOOL AT GILMER AND N. KRUEGER ROAD IN LONG GROVE, ILLINOIS.

 

I.                    PUBLIC HEARING

A.                  Village Code amendment concerning the B-1 Historic Business District relative to taverns/pubs as a permitted use in the district.  The amendment would not limit some forms of taverns/pubs as long as it meets the definition of a restaurant that only allows 30% of the business to be a bar area. The amendment would allow a tavern/pub, bar only, as a special use requiring public hearing before final approval by the Village Board.

IV.       OLD BUSINESS.

A.                  Good Shepherd Church Annexation and Special Use.

The petitioner has requested this item be tabled to the June meeting so that proper documentation requested by the Plan Commission at the April 3, 2001 meeting can be completed and submitted. Discussion as to a final recommendation.

B.                  Jay’s Camp annexation, zoning and amended language to the Village Code.

The petitioner has requested time to provide further information to the Commission to consider.

C.                  B-1 Historic Business District regulations and amendments.

Recommendation to be considered based upon the public hearing.

D.                  Gridley Smokehouse Restaurant final approval recommendation. The site, landscape and architectural plans have been reviewed by the Architectural Board and Planner with their recommendations. The restaurant site was part of the Preserve at Long Grove PUD.

 

V.        NEW BUSINESS.

A.                  Valenti’s Long Grove Woods Phase II Annexation and Planned Unit Development.

The approximate 120 acres of property south of Gilmer and west of N. Krueger Roads is petitioned to be annexed and approved for 62 single-family lots as part of an R-2 planned unit development with private roads, open space and to be served by sanitary sewer. Preliminary discussion of the presentation and request for public hearing will be considered.
