Meeting Minutes

June 4, 2002

Present: Chairman Borawski, Commissioners Gould, Jenkins, F. Phillips, Walter, and Di Iorio, Village Manager Anderson, Treasurer Chen, and Planner Kendig.

Absent: Commissioner L. Phillips

I. PUBLIC HEARING – ZONING RELATED FEES.

Public Hearing called to order at 8:01PM.

Public notice read by Village Manager Anderson.

Amendment to the Village Code regarding zoning related fees. Amendment will delete references to specific fees itemized in Title 12 of the Village Code.

No one present had anything to say.

Move to close the public hearing made by Commissioner Walter

Seconded by Commissioner Gould.

Ayes all.

Motion carried.

Public Hearing closed at 8:03 PM.

II. MEETING GAVELED TO ORDER

Meeting gaveled to order at 8:04 PM by Chairman Borawski.

III. MINUTES OF MAY 7, 2002 AND MAY 21, 2002

May 7, 2002

Motion to delay review of the minutes until the June 18^th meeting made by Commissioner Acuna.

Seconded by Commissioner Walter.

Ayes all.

Motion carried.

May 21, 2002

Amendments

Remove Commissioner Coffin from the minutes.

Page 1 second bullet from bottom word should be bulk.

Footer changed to May 21.

Add under new business section comments by Commissioner Gould: ‘and advised she was preparing a report on this topic’.

Section B change wording to :

Commission needs to respond to the Village board with a recommendation on this parcel.

Motion to accept the minutes as amended made by Commissioner Walter.

Motion to recommend approval of an ordinance amending the Village Code regarding certain zoning related fees as set forth in the draft dated May 3 2002 made by Commissioner Gould.

Seconded by Commissioner Walter.

Ayes all.

IV. OLD BUSINESS

A. Rubin/Hill

Petitioner requested to move this item to June 18^th meeting.

Motion to move this item to the June 18^th meeting made by Commissioner F. Phillips.

Seconded from Commissioner Jenkins.

All Ayes

Motion Carried.

B. Bulk Housing Regulations

Planner Kendig explained memo dated 5/30/2002

Motion to publish for public hearing on July 2^nd a proposal to adopt bulk regulations as recommended in the Duncan Associates memo dated on 5/30 /2002 with the addition of a maximum roof height of 35Ft from the mid point of grade to peak made by Commissioner Gould.

Seconded by Commissioner Walter.

Motion Carried.

C. Lake Cook Road and Route 53 Sub-Area Plan

Staff to distribute copy of existing plan for this area.

Motion to move this discussion to the June 18^th meeting made by Commissioner Gould.

Seconded by Commissioner Walter.

V. COMMITTEE REPORTS

A. Undeveloped parcel review

Parcel A OK

Parcel B OK

Parcel C OK Preplanned, included in the plan for the train station community.

Parcel 1 OK If not in Mundeline Park District this could be a nice park area.

Parcel 2 – Indian valley PUD so moot point.

Park District comments in letter dated 12/14/01 from Lee Basset describe potential uses of Parcels 1 and 2.

Chairman Borawski and L. Phillips should be prepared to discuss the undeveloped parcels they reviewed for the next Commission meeting.

Commissioner Acuna to review parcels 14, 15, 16.

VI. NEW BUSINESS

Commissioner Walter resigned his position.

Plan commission board attendance list presented.

Neighboring community Plan Commission meeting calendars presented.
